Pride New Haven September 19 2014

The city I moved to to start up Strange Ways has a lot of revitalization going on. It's part of the reason why New Haven, CT seemed like such a great place to do begin this endeavor. One of the many things the people of the city are doing is starting back up an LGBT Pride celebration, which they haven't done in a few years.

Spanning over 4 days, the main takes place tomorrow at a block party in Ninth Square where part of Crown Street will be sanctioned off from cars. Strange Ways will be having a pop-up shop there Saturday the 20th, selling clothing and accessories—some by LGBT artists, all worth checking out.

As a gay man myself, I'm glad to see this event taking place and proud for Strange Ways to be a part of something that celebrates what otherwise might make people feel excluded. If you'd like to see the whole line-up (which has already begun), check out the schedule by the New Haven Pride Center.
